It’s officially rainy season here in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Though it’s 86 F, 99% humidity, and sunny today, the forecast for the coming week is exactly the same as last week: rain, rain, and more rain. And we’re loving it!

Though you may think we’re being sarcastic (especially judging by the photos below), we’re not. The rain brings a refreshing coolness, pulling the high humidity down with it as it falls to the earth.

Of course, the civil engineering and roadways aren’t the best, which leads to near-instant flooding (these photos are just a few minutes into some of the many daily rain storms).

For now, we like to say, “I love Santa Cruz in the rain in the 20s.”
