Before our run-in with the law on the Peru-Bolivia border, we took a brief but joyous respite at Titilaka. I absolutely adored our honeymoon hotel, Jade Mountain, but I have to say, that Titilaka rivaled it in so many ways. On its own peninsula, this very unimposing and secluded hotel blends in with the magnificent landscape. Dan says I loved this place because there was so much pink, but really and truly I fell in love with the décor that was both chic and true to the region. Along with enjoying the pisco cocktails and local Peruvian cuisine, we also took advantage of the amazing excursions, including a private hike on Taquile island, canooing throught the reeds, and kayaking. And, that’s not to mention the beautiful scenery.
